Pakistan and India support early peace talks: DELHI, Jan 15: Pakistan and India said that they both supported an early resumption of peace talks stalled for over a year, but the Indian government reiterated that acts of terror must stop first. General Pervez Musharraf told India's envoy to Islamabad toady that his country wanted to start talks to settle the dispute over Kashmir. During the meeting with Indian High Commissioner (ambassador) Vijay Nambiar, Musharraf stressed the need for early resumption of the dialogue process for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute, a Pakistan foreign ministry statement said.       (Reuters) (Posted @ 00:35 PST, Tuesday)


President appreciates Turkey's consistent support on Kashmir: DELHI, Jan 15: President Muhammad Rafiq Tarar appreciated Turkey's consistent support to Pakistan on Kashmir and emphasized that Kashmiris should be given their inalienable rights in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions. He stated this at a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister, Ismail Cem, who paid a courtesy call on the President today.
